BRUSSELS CAMPSITE FOR SLOW TRAVEL AND COUNTER-CULTURE
FREETOWN
MEETING POINT AND EVENT SPACE FOR COUNTER-CULTURE
THE PLACE
Camping 58 is a place of slow travel, and welcomes all slow travelers. That is to say that only travelers in tents are accepted.
If you don't have a tent, don't panic, Quechua festival tents are available for rent on-site. Also for groups!
As a place promoting responsible tourism, cars, motor-homes, vans… ARE NOT allowed in the campsite, if you are motorized, here are the alternatives on this page.
In a few words, Camping 58 is a simple, peaceful, inexpensive and inclusive place where sharing and conviviality are our priorities.
Camping 58 is also a place for events and concerts, do not hesitate to look at our agenda or go to our Facebook page to see the program. (The festivities stop at 22h to respect everyone's sleep).
The bar and reception are open Monday to Sunday > from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
(possibility to arrive outside these hours on request or by booking online => self check-in)
- Campsite close to transport (Subway, train, bus: Heysel stop)
- Bicycle rental nearby www.villo.be
FREETOWN 58
We are a place of radical freedom - inclusive to all. Respect and kindness are the Mojo of the Camping, i f you are not comfortable with this, we can ask you to leave the place.

AGENDA
Check our agenda to see whats going on at and around our campsite : combine your stay with all this!
We offer you a view on this amazing landmark from your tent (as long as you orientate it right)!
This shiny spaceship stems from the World Exposition of 1958 - called EXPO 58 (No need to look further for the origin of the name of our campsite).
We have much more stuff to visit only meters away! Mini-europe, the planetarium, the design museum, the amazing parcs...
We're a temporary project occupying an old petanque club since June 2022. The site is awaiting demolition in 2024 to make place for NEO Commercial Center
Thanks to the City Of Brussels
We took part in an open call-for-projects for the temporary occupation of the former pétanque club "Léo Pétanque" and got selected for our socially engaged and neighborhood driven campsite, community garden and bar.
Thanks to Benoit Hellings - Alderman of Sports and Climat also to Lydia Muytebele - Alderman of Housing, Public Patrimony and Equal Opportunities
We are looking forward to your visit
